In lieu of the festive season, Sime Darby will be holding open houses across their new and upcoming developments. The events will be held over the first and second weekends of February, bringing visitors a throng of fun activities.
Below is a list of the upcoming CNY Open Houses 2020 brought to you by Sime Darby.
City of Elmina CNY Open House
Date: 8th Feb 2020, Saturday
Time: 10am – 4pm
Location: Elmina Pavilion (City of Elmina Sales Gallery)
The City of Elmina is an upcoming township located within Selangor. It is part of the Selangor Vision City (SVC), and enjoys great connectivity to Kuala Lumpur.
On the 8th of February, the City of Elmina will see their share of Chinese New Year festivities with yee sang tossing complemented by acrobatic lion dances. Guests will get to witness the rice milling process and get free samples in the meantime, but only while stock lasts.
A God of Prosperity will be walking around the event space spreading goodness and joy, together with a Rat Mascot. Guests will also get to participate in a 2D Cupcake Decorating Workshop, and Diabolo Game. There will also be a fun Fairy Tumble Walk Around, mask changing performance, and Chinese Calligraphy expert on site.

Bandar Bukit Raja CNY Open House
Date: 8th Feb 2020, Saturday
Time: 5pm – 9pm
Location: Bandar Bukit Raja Town Park
The Bandar Bukit Raja township is a matured township located in Klang. Enjoying the most central spot within Klang, visitors will be able to get to the event within approximately half an hour from the Kuala Lumpur city centre, while for the Klang-ites, this event will practically be in their backyard.
The highlights of the Bandar Bukit Raja CNY Open House is its Japanese theme. Visitors will enjoy taking Insta-worthy photos with Japanese lanterns, sakura trees, and Torii gates. There will also be a Lion Dance performance, as well as a Yellowtail Fish Cutting Performance and Japanese Dance Performance.
Guests will be entertained with a Fire Eater who will be performing his arts doing the event, while enjoying the Japanese cuisine on site brought to them by the popular Robataya Restaurant.

Serenia City CNY Open House (Spring of Serenia)
Date: 9th Feb 2020, Sunday
Time: 10am – 4pm
Location: Serenia City Sales Gallery
Serenia City – one of Sime Darby’s latest township – is located within the southern gateway of the Greater KL. A township of 1,775 acres, this township is easily accessible from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and KLIA2.
On the first weekend of February 2020 on Sunday, the township will be abuzz with CNY festivities. Visitors will have a plethora of activities to participate in within a Spring of Serenia theme, including a mesmerising Spring Flower Dance, Lion Dance Performance by 2019 National Lion Dance Champion, and lucky draws with some of the prizes including a 45-inch TV, washing machine, and fridge.
The event will also feature over 20 different types of real flowers from around the world, which visitors can bring home at a special price. In lieu of the flower theme, there will also be a Flower Painting Activity, and Fragrance Diffuser Workshop.
Also during the event, there will be the unveiling of tallest kinetic structure measuring 17 metres in height at Serenia City’s new Central Park. A scrumptious CNY buffet will be available on-site, with the Peking Duck as its main dish of attraction.

Subang Jaya City Centre (SJCC) CNY Open House
Date: 15th Feb 2020, Saturday
Time: 10am – 4pm
Location: Subang Jaya City Centre (SJCC) Sales Gallery
Closest to town will be the Subang Jaya City Centre (SJCC) CNY Open House. Featuring a couple of coveted upcoming developments in the neighbourhood including Aurora and Lot 15, the event will be held at the Subang Jaya City Centre (SJCC) Sales Gallery.
Of all the other Open Houses, this one will be the most special of the Sime Darby open houses. The highlight of this event will be the Lucky Spin, where buyers can spin the wheel of fortune to get an additional 0.5% or 1% rebate on top of CNY and existing rebates.
There will also be a Lion Dance performance, and guests will be able to have fun with the Chinese Plum Blossoms Craft Making, and Fortune Cookies Customisation. A family-friendly event, there will also be classic Chinese candies, and a mini claw machine.
