Eco World Development Group Berhad and Star Media Group teams together with campaign guests at Eco Ardence Sales Gallery during the #AnakAnakMalaysia campaign launch.

Returning for the fifth year after last year’s huge success, the #AnakAnakMalaysia 2019 campaign is back in conjunction with the Merdeka and Malaysia Day, where members of the public are free to join the event.

In hopes to spur patriotism and to provide a platform for fellow Malaysians to express their love for the nation, Eco World Development Group Berhad (EcoWorld Malaysia) is coming together with Star Media Group once again this year to hold the #AnakAnakMalaysia 2019 campaign.

The campaign theme this year - #BetterMeBetterMalaysia, a simple message which means that a better nation begins with each individual, where one should be open to embracing change for the better.

During the campaign’s launch ceremony at the Eco Ardence Sales Gallery, Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye, the organizing chairman of #AnakAnakMalaysia said that the theme was chosen because, “a better Malaysia begins with me, begins with you, begins with all of us. We call on all Malaysians to honour our beloved nation by standing tall and proud as Anak-Anak Malaysia to be the change you want. After all, the best way to inspire change is by being that very change.”

Meanwhile, Star Media Group chairman Datuk Fu Ah Kiow added that if everyone made a more conscious effort to allow change to start from themselves, it will eventually bring Malaysia everyone envisions to life.

Special guests who attended the launch event were prominent figures such as the nation’s national athletes, celebrities, entertainers, and inspiring entrepreneurs, such as Elena Goh Ling Yin (national race walker), Mohd Azlan Iskandar (former national squash player), Christy Ng (founder & CEO of christyng.com) and more.

This year’s campaign will also feature new partnerships with National Geographic, IDO T-SHIRT, and RIUH. The photography contest by National Geographic - Uncover Malaysia Photo Contest aims to capture what it means to be #AnakAnakMalaysia, while local label IDO T-SHIRT is the mastermind behind the design and production of the campaign’s t-shirts.

Set to be the crowd-puller of the #AnakAnakMalaysia Walk that will be held at Eco Ardence in Shah Alam for the first time, will be the RIUH curated creative bazaar. The 5.5km walk will also include many fun activities along the route and limited-edition pins for collection.

On 31st August, the #AnakAnakMalaysia campaign will also have a presence in other states, happening at Eco Terraces in Penang and Eco Spring in Iskandar Malaysia.
